An unfortunate trolley accident resulted in the death of a bicyclist in the Mountain View area. 23-year-old Woman Killed after Slamming into Pole

A car accident in San Diego this morning resulted in the death of a woman who may have been a military officer. The incident occurred at 5:45 a.m. in the Torrey Highlands area when the 23-year old’s car drifted off State route 56, overturned and tumbled down an ice plant covered embankment. The driver was a San Diego resident whose name is being withheld pending notification of family. She died shortly after the crash, which occurred on the westbound of the freeway near Camino del Sur. Repeat Drunk Driver Denied Plea Deal after Ferrari Crash

In Newport Beach today a repeat DUI offender was denied a plea bargain in a vehicular homicide case involving Charles David Lewis Jr., one of the founders of the clothing company TapouT. Lewis Jr., a famed mixed martial art entrepreneur, was killed in March after defendant Jeffery David Kirby hit the victims’ Ferrari with his own 1977 Porsche on Jamboree Road in Newport Beach. 51-year-old Kirby claimed that Lewis was speeding and contributed to his own demise but an Orange County Judge was not buying it. Although Kirby and Lewis had been racing, Kirby was said to have a blood alcohol level of .13 a few hours after the crash. He also had previous drunk driving convictions.

Lewis, who called himself “Mask” died almost instantly when the Porsche lost control struck the Lewis’s vehicle. The Ferrari was then torn into three pieces after jumping a curb and ramming a cement light pole. Lacy Lynn White, Lewis girlfriend, was seriously injured after being ejected from the Ferrari. She suffered a broken vertebrae, hip and shattered elbow.

Criminal charges notwithstanding, Kirby may also face the possibility of a wrongful death lawsuit for Lewis’s demise because of his recklessness. Fall at San Diego Wild Animal Park Kills 89-Year-Old

89-year old Vista resident Maximino Carapia died shortly after a recent accident at The San Diego Wild Animal Park. Two Seperate Accidents Result in Fatalities in Long Beach

Two solo car accidents in the Long Beach area occurred on the same day and resulted in fatalities. The first accident happened at 2 a.m. early Friday morning near Davies Bridge over Appian Way. It involved 27-year-old Humberto Sanchez of Downey. The Man had been driving eastbound on 2^nd street when his gray 2001 Lincoln veered off the bridge, broke through the guardrails and dropped 50 feet to the street below. 2 hours later, at around 4 a.m. police responded to another traffic accident at West Pacific Coast Highway near Caspian Avenue in West Long Beach. This time, the victim was a 23-year-old male victim who had been traveling west on the PCH. He was driving a green 1995 Ford Mustang when he veered right and struck a street pole. The young man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are still investigating both incidents.

Man Killed after Walking into Heavy 110 Traffic

A car accident resulted in a fatality Tuesday night when a man crossing the Harbor (110) freeway in Wilmington was struck by a car. Hit-And-Run Suspect Charged in Traffic Death of Inglewood Teen

Apple Valley Woman ID’d after Fatal Head-on Collision

The woman who was killed on U.S. Highway 395 Monday evening has been identified as 26-year-old Jessica Blass.
