A woman driving an ATV is now in serious condition resulting from injuries that she received on Friday after crashing her ATV into a wall in Escondido. The woman was riding with a child on the ATV when the crash occurred. While the child escaped the crash unhurt, the woman is reported to have sustained facial injuries as well as other injuries, which remain serious. San Diego Trolley Kills Pedestrian Woman

A trolley in downtown San Diego killed a woman on Sunday afternoon on C Street at Fourth Avenue. The woman, age 52 of Escondido, was struck by the trolley while walking across the tracks of the San Diego orange line. It seems the woman was distracted by a train traveling the opposite way but was then struck by the other train, which sounded its horn in alert before striking her, said San Diego police. The Escondido woman was residing at the Plaza Hotel before the accident. Though her name has yet to be released, other patrons of the Plaza Hotel San Diego described the woman as friendly and peaceful.

Pregnant Woman Rescued After Losing Control in Car Accident

On June 15 in La Jolla, a pregnant woman was rescued after losing control and wrecking her vehicle at a location in San Diego County. It has yet to be determined why the pregnant woman lost control of the car, but it was confirmed that the car slipped down a canyon and then struck a tree. The pregnant woman remains unidentified, but was transported to the local hospital for treatment. At the time of the car accident, the pregnant woman, aged 31, was three months into her pregnancy. Fortunately, authorities report that the pregnant woman and her baby are both in good condition despite the severity of the car accident.

San Diego Car Accident Results from Wrong-Way Driver

A June 4 police chase that ensued in San Diego began only to deter a wild driver, but ended in a serious car accident that injured a San Diego police officer and brought arrest to a 47-year-old woman. The woman driver was traveling south on the opposite side of Interstate 805 when the police chase began at around 5:49 a.m.

The woman continued driving negligently on various streets, involving a u-turn on Palm Avenue and furious speeds near 100 mph as well as running multiple red lights. As the driver continued down 43^rd street, she was confronted by a California Highway Patrol police car at an upcoming intersection. However, the woman persisted in speeding towards the vehicle, and despite her attempts to swerve around the police car, she collided with the front bumper of the vehicle, causing injuries to the driving officer during the car accident. The high-speed car chase continued even after this car accident, until she was finally captured at 6:16 am.

The police officer involved in the car accident was treated for injuries, and the 47-year-old driver was released to a mental health institution for further evaluation of possible mental injuries. However, she is expected to be tried on multiple charges following her evaluation.
