Smart Car Crashes into Light Pole in Irvine

At approximately 9:41 a.m. a reported smart car convertible crashed into alight pole in Irvine. The crash occurred this morning on the southbound 133 freeway and Barranca Parkway and caused the pole to fall over and expose internal wiring. 100 Foot Canyon Plunge Leaves South Gate Man Dead

Jeep Flips after Freeway Collision

A jeep rolled over in the northbound lanes of the I-5 South of Red Hill Avenue early this morning, temporarily blocking traffic. Huntington Harbor Boating Accident Results in Two Fatalities

An inflatable boat crashed into a bridge in Huntington Harbour early Wednesday morning, injuring one man and killing two others. The deceased males, Caleb Steele, 30 and Shawn Wilson, 35, both residents of the upscale Huntington Beach area, were killed after their 12-foot Zodiac-style boat collided with the Gilbert Bridge at around 1 a.m.. Witnesses say that the boat approached the Shelter Channel at a high rate of speed, making tight circles known as “doughnuts” before the crash.

The sole survivor managed to swim ashore and was taken to the UC Irvine Medical center with severe head injuries. The other two men were recovered from the water around 9 a.m.. Authorities are uncertain as to whether or not alcohol played a role in the accident.
