She died in a hospital on Sunday while receiving treatment for injuries received in the pedestrian accident.

The woman had been drinking before she was struck by the car on Broadway Street in San Diego. At around 8:50 p.m., a car hit her as she crossed Broadway Street near where it intersects with East Park Avenue. The car was a Honda Civic headed northbound, driven by a 41-year-old driver, who was neither drinking nor otherwise under the influence when the pedestrian accident occurred.

The 55-year-old woman was taken to a hospital late on Saturday night, but died only hours later, early on Sunday morning.

The pedestrian accident, which occurred on Friday night, was located just off of 101 near Marcheta Street. In the accident, an unnamed pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, for reasons unreported, at around 9pm. Injuries sustained in the accident left the pedestrian unconscious, according to witnesses, and the injured was flown from the scene for prompt treatment. The accident also closed down the highway while investigation ensued.

The man, who has yet to be identified, was trying to cross the intersection at Meade Avenue and 32nd Street in San Diego County when he was hit by a white hatchback car, who left without consulting with the pedestrian or the authorities. In this hit and run pedestrian accident, which occured at approximately 1:30 am, the pedestrian was victim to severe head injuries that led to his quick death on the scene. Clanton was pronounced dead after being found pinned between her vehicle and a fence post on Tuesday, authorities said. Clanton was responsible for delivering meals for residents in the Pine Valley are at the time of the car accident, which occurred at 18 Via Road in Pine Valley, San Diego County. Medics attempted to revive Clanton , but to no avail, she was pronounced dead at 2:37 p.m. California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
