During the car accident, the man’s car rolled down an embankment and into a tree. Andrew Wade Jackson, the Coronado victim of the car accident, was traveling eastbound on Otay Lakes Road when he lost control of his car, causing him to the accident that ended in his most unfortunate death.

Andrew Wade Jackson, a sailor in the Navy, was currently stationed in the aircraft carrier Nimitz. Jackson was driving alone at the time of the accident and, unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

In the helicopter crash that occurred on Tuesday night, rescue teams were successful in locating three crew members, who unfortunately died as a result of the crash. Two of the crew members remain missing, but the search for their bodies has been halted by the Navy. Navy crew member Eric J. Purvis of California was among the five navy crew members on the ship during the crash. The Navy helicopter involved in the helicopter crash in San Diego was a HH60 Seahawk, which traveled as part of the Anti-Submarine Squadron on a training mission. The helicopter crash, which authorities confirm happened 13 miles out of San Diego, remains without a known cause.
