Young Boy Injured By Hit and Run Driver Walking to Grandmother’s In San Bernardino

A boy who is only 8 years old was injured by a hit and run driver while walking on his way to his grandmother’s house in San Bernardino. The pedestrian hit and run accident left the boy in a hospital, listed in critical condition, on Monday.

After buying ice cream, the 8-year-old headed to his grandmother’s. A driver in a Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck struck the boy, sending him 50 feet away. According to a witness, the hit and run driver left the scene of the accident without doing anything. The truck had magnetic business signs on its sides.

California Highway Patrol and medical teams reported to the scene of the accident on Saturday, transporting the boy to Loma Linda with head injuries. Officials are asking anyone with information to report it to authorities straightaway.

3-year-old Pedestrian Killed In Possible Hit and Run Car Accident

A toddler aged three was the unfortunate victim of a car accident on Friday when a car coming down his road hit him while crossing the street. A 19-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run after leaving the scene of the accident but later returning.

The 3-year old was with his older brother when he was hit, walking through his San Diego neighborhood hoping to find a lost dog. The older brother warned the 3-year-old not to cross the street with him, but he did anyway. Reportedly, the older brother heard a thump and then found his brother down in the middle of the street. The car, a green sedan driven by a 19-year-old, had also fled away from the scene.

Relatives of the toddler who had been hit picked him up from the street and took him to the driveway of their San Diego home. There, they attempted to revive him as emergency officials came to the scene. He was later taken to the hospital where he died of the injuries he received in the car accident.

The 19-year-old returned to the scene of the car accident after first going to a nearby gas station. Police arrested him on suspision of felony hit-and-run, but it is not belived that speeding or DUI was a factor.

Woman seriously injured in San Diego hit and run bicycle accident

Walking east with her dog along a street in San Diego, on Monday morning, a 22-year-old woman unsuspectingly became victim to a hit and run bicyclist. As she advanced down the road with her dog, the bicyclist struck her from behind, dropping her to the ground. He then fled the scene of the accident.

At first, the 22-year-old believed she was uninjured. She rose from the place where she was felled by the bicyclist and continued home. Later in the day, however, she went to a hospital to receive treatment. Doctors believe the bicycle accident gave the woman a skull fracture, a brain injury causing swelling.

The woman contacted police from the hospital about her hit and run bicycle accident. There have been no reports of the hit and run bicyclist being found.

A one-year-old girl was struck and killed by an Dodge Durango SUV in Long Beach late Friday night and was dragged nearly a mile down Redondo Avenue before the driver finally stopped. A resident of Tijuana that was involved in a hit-and-run accident has died of unfortunate injuries in San Diego, according to reports. Gregorio Bejar Valencia, 64, was only in a hospital for a short time before he was pronounced dead. Valencia had been injured earlier on State Route 94′s onramp in Golden Hill, where another vehicle struck his, which was stopped on the side of the road at the time of the accident. Valencia’s vehicle, a pickup truck, took a stop on the road side in order for he and his passenger to clean the windshield. Another vehicle, a 1989 Nissan Sentra driving on the same road,ran into the back of the truck, also knocking over Valencia in the process.

Initially, the driver who hit Valencia stopped as if he was going to attend to the accident, but upon finding the seriously injured Valencia, who had suffered major leg injuries, the driver for some reason chose to flee the scene. Mendoza, the passenger of Valencia’s pickup, took some cuts to the knee but was otherwise uninjured. San Diego police are currently following leads for the hit0and-run driver, a man described as Hispanic and in his 30s. Police plan to charge him with felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter, authorities said.
