Drunk Driver Crashes SUV into Home

On Tuesday morning, a suspected drunk driver ran into a home in San Diego, says authorities. The site of the SUV accident was a condo in the College Area.

At around 1:45 in the morning, the SUV crashed into the condo located near Collwood Boulevard and Montezuma Road. Although the crash did cause property damage, none of the residents in the home were injured in the accident. There was at least one person home at the time of the accident, though.

The man who drove the SUV into the condo has been arrested by police as a suspected drunk driver.

Three Injured In Drunk Driving Accident, One Passenger Seriously

Three people inside a vehicle that was driven by a suspected drunk driver were injured in a crash outside San Diego. One of the three injured suffered head injuries that have been called “major” by medical professionals.

The suspected drunk driver was driving just outside San Diego when he crashed into a chain link fence. Once the car broke through the fence, it proceeded to smash into an electrical box, an impact that proved severe.

The accident took place at around 2:30 a.m., at a site near South Meadowbrook Drive and Paradise Valley Road. Reportedly, the car involved in the DUI accident was a Pontiac Firebird. The victim of the most severe injuries in the crash, which were described as major head injuries, was a male passenger in the car.

It was not reported whether the driver has yet been arrested on DUI.

CHP Investigating Drunk Driving As A Possible Cause of Lakeside Accident

A fatal accident early yesterday morning may have been caused by drunk driving, authorities said. According to San Diego police, the accident took place at the 14000 block of El Monte Road, first seen by an off-duty officer just after 1 in the morning. The driver, Nico Faulk of San Diego, was traveling westbound on El Monte in a Volvo when the crash occurred. Faulk drove into the shoulder for 200 feet before swinging back through an embankment and then into an oak tree, crashing into it. One passenger, Patrick Michael Elerding, 34 of Santee, was killed when the vehicle crashed into the tree. The driver, who is suspected of drunk driving, has been taken into the hospital with minor injuries. He was also arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.

Man Who Crashed Into Fire Engine May Have Been Drunk Driving

In Mira Mesa, the driver of a Honda Accord that struck a fire engine on Sunday has been placed under suspicion of DUI. The man has now been arrested, according to authorities. Identified as Jack Albert Morales, a 38-year-old of San Diego, was injured in the crash, and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Passengers of the vehicle identified as a wife and son were also injured, both seriously, according to reports. The crash took place when the man crashed into a parked fire engine, which was at the scene handling an accident that had occurred earlier. The fire engine was knocked forward upon impact and hit a firefighter, but his injuries were cleared and the man returned to work that night.

9-year-old Girl Dies In Car Accident

Drunk driving may be the cause of an unfortunate car accident that claimed the life of a 9-year-old girl. According to reports, the girl was a passenger in a Lexus that collided with 3 other vehicles, two cars and a big rig truck. Local Orange County Residents Apprehend Fleeing DUI Suspect

In Trabuco Canyon, a man suspected of drunk driving crashed into a light pole early this morning and tired to flee the scene. The accident happened at 1:49 a.m. after a dark-colored Scion XB crashed into a pole on Oso parkway and Altura. The driver of the Scion reportedly took off on foot and ended up in the backyard of a house.

The homeowners detained the driver and called the authorities, holding the man there until the cops arrived. The individual was hurt and the driver was taken to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo at 2:42 a.m., where it was ascertained that his injuries were far from serious. A blood tech then tested his blood alcohol level because of suspected intoxication. The man was charged and booked at the Orange County Jail.

Jim Gafney, a 65-year-old and retired computer engineer of Chula Vista, was killed during his protest efforts in a bicycle ride from Chula Vista to Washington, DC. The bicycle protest, in which Gafney was the lone supporter, involved a cross-country bicycle ride from Chula Vista, California to Washington, DC to protest government bailouts. Within the duration of his protest, Gafney was killed in a bicycle accident that is suspected to have involved drunk driving.

The bicycle accident occurred on US 50 just outside Sandoval, a city east of St. Louis, where he was hit the driver of a car. Leon K. Marlum, the 27-year-old driver who struck Gafney, fled the scene of the bicycle accident but was located and arrested on charges of drunk driving,failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and leaving the scene of a fatal accident. Police report that Marlum claims not to have seen Gafney in adequate time to prevent the bicycle accident.

Drunk Driving Injures 2 In San Diego accident

Josh Vera and Maria Torres, aged 61 and 50, were the victims of a June 7th car accident that took place on SR 76 when a drunk driver caused a car accident near San Diego.
