On Sunday, the car accident occurred on Malibu roads when his car fell over the side. Michael Mutz, 41, was the driver in a 2003 Honda that fell off the side of Malibu Canyon Road. For causes unknown, the man drove his car through the lanes next to him, eventually driving off the road entirely. During the fall, Mutz received injuries that resulted in his death. According to reports, Mutz was not wearing a seatbelt during the accident.

According to witnesses, Melvin Pearless, the driver, and another driver were racing northbound on SR 67 when the car accident occurred. Pearless crashed another vehicle, that of 25-year-old Alexandria Drake and her two-week-old daughter during the accident. The car accident lead to Drake’s death, but herdaughter was rescued without injuries. As a result of the death, Pearless can face up to six years in prison if convicted of manslaughter.
