San Diego Construction Accident Injures Worker

A construction accident in San Diego required the aid of the San Diego Fire Department in rescuing a fallen man. For nearly an hour, firefighters attended to the injured worker, who fell from a 3 story building in Hillcrest.

The construction accident occurred at around 8:30 at an ongoing construction site on Fifth and Brookes Avenue. Sections of an apartment complex amid construction were destroyed in a fire this week. According to Reno Fire Department, the fire, whose cause has not been determined, was reported shortly before midnight on Wednesday. The fire was considerably massive, stretching across an entire apartment complex, the Alexander at South Virginia. Up to 22 of the 36 developing buildings within the complex were destroyed during the fire.The fire shut down Highway 385 while the Reno Fire Department battled the blazes. As a result of the fire, a trailer park in Reno was also evacuated as a precaution.

Construction Site Accident Takes Place In Weatherford

Investigation is ongoing following a construction site accident on Monday that killed a 12-year-old. According to reports from the local sheriff, the accident occurred at a Coronado street construction site just after 1 pm. Apparently, the boy, 12, was playing with his younger brother on a construction site while, at the same time, a construction crew was installing a pool. The two boys jumped into a truck filled with sand, but the 12-year-old boy sank underneath. When workers at the site of the construction accident noticed a clog in the sand mixer, they went to the truck to investigate, finding that the boy was under in the back of the truck. After digging the boy out of the sand, they made an effort to perform CPR as paramedics responded to the construction accident. Both children were transported to a local hospital, one dead and the other with a broken leg.

Worker Injured in Construction Accident

An Oxnard construction site was also the site of an accident on June 9, where a worker fell and was injured while attempting to repair a hole in the roof of a building.

The construction accident occurred at the 3700 block of Hemlock street just before noon, when the 36-year-old construction worker fell 25 feet from the roof of the damaged building, suffering injury. After being unconscious foe a small period of time, the man was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, authorities said.

Sacramento Construction worker struck in fatal accident

According to authorities from California Highway Patrol, a woman driving a Pontiac sped through a work zone, striking and killing a 49-year-old construction worker and then proceeding to hit a parked truck and trailer. The construction worker, a male, Arnoldo Placencia, was involved in the repair of a Sacramento County road when the accident occurred.

During the fatal accident, which occurred at at about 1:20 p.m., Placencia was accompanied by two other workers also commissioned to repair the road. Michael A. Lewis, one of these workers, suffered injuries to head, and required treatment for these injuries, authorizes said.

The accident also ended fatal for the driver, a Nancy Richards of Sacramento, who died in the crash. According to authorities, Richards smelled of alcohol following the crash. Investigation regarding the involvement of alcohol in the fatal accident continues.
