Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign Accident Kills Three People
Aug 10th, 2010 by RichmondJ
Three people have been declared dead in a car accident caused by a driver who ran a stop sign on Wednesday. The stop sign accident, in Fresno, involved two cars, a Pontiac and Honda.
During the afternoon on Wednesday, the driver of the Pontiac went through a stop sign without stopping, close to the intersection of American Avenue and Fig Avenue in Fresno. The Pontiac then crashed with the Honda, which was traveling perpendicular to him.
The driver of the Pontiac was uninjured. Three passengers from the Pontiac that ran the stop sign, however, were injured when the accident happened. Since the three of them were not wearing seatbelts, the impact of the crash flung them from their seats out of the car. Two were pronounced dead at the scene of the stop sign accident, while another was taken to a hospital and died later that day.
In the Honda, two people suffered injuries but escaped the tragic accident alive.
