San Jose Pursuit Kills 15-year-old Teenager in Accident

An innocent 15-year-old girl in San Jose died on Wednesday morning, less than a day after a pursuit accident placed her and her family in danger.
The 15-year-old and her family – which included her mother, 6-year-old sister and 12-year-old brother – were driving down a road in San Jose at the same time that a police pursuit was ensuing in the same area. This pursuit had started at around 4:00 p.m., after Bernardino Cuevas made an illegal turn and was flagged by police, but refused to stop. Police began to chase Cuevas in a pursuit that ended unfortunately for the 15-year-old and her family.
During the pursuit, Cuevas ran a red light and ended up striking a Mitsubishi Mirage that was traveling on the road. The Mirage contained the 15-year-old and her family.
The 15-year-old’s family survived the crash, although the mother sustained neck injuries and back injuries.
