San Diego Teens Injured While Evading Police Chase
Jul 6th, 2010 by RichmondJ
A few San Diego teens who took an unsafe form of amusement to the roads of San Diego were injured earlier this week, after crashing their vehicle while trying to evade police capture. On Tuesday afternoon, June 29th, the three teens were traveling along a San Diego city road while using an air gun to deploy marshmallows onto other moving vehicles.
When the teens were spotted, a San Diego police officer attempted to pull them over for causing mischief while driving, but the teens resisted. A chase ensued along Aero Drive and Murphy Canyon Road, lasting only a short time, but ending dangerously.
The teen driver crashed the vehicle, a pickup, into a median of one of the roads he drove through in a San Diego residential area. This took place after the boys had sped through the streets for a short time attempting to evade the police.
When the car hit the median, it rolled over, flipping onto its side. All three teens, aged 16, 17, and 17, were injured in the car accident.
The driver, the 16-year-old, ran from the car even after the car had rolled over. However, he has now been detained by police for evading police capture.
