Man Dies, Slip and Fall In San Diego Charger’s Stadium
Nov 4th, 2009 by RichmondJ
An unusual and extremely unfortunate accident took place this past Monday when, before the start of the game, a man was seriously injured at the San Diego Charger’s stadium. Unfortunately, although the man was alive immediately after the accident, he was reported as dead later on.
The man, a worker/volunteer for the San Diego Chargers identified as Walt Daniels, dropped 25 feet in a fall from a press box into the stands. In trying to setup a phone cable in the announcer’s booth, he fell backwards out of the press box, for reasons still unknown. Landing head first, Daniels suffered significant head trauma at the scene of the accident, yet remained with a pulse and was taken to Sharps Memorial promptly, where he died later.
A volunteer loved and appreciated inside and outside the stadium, Daniels is likely to be missed greatly in San Diego after this accident. If you or a loved one has been injured in a slip and fall, regardless of the cause, there is no harm in speaking to an attorney for legal counsel.
