An accident that was determined the result of drunk driving has injured 9 people in San Diego. At around 4:30 in the morning, the two cars crashed on their way to the San Ysidro area, returning from Tijuana. It was said that both drivers were returning from the same Tijuana party. 18-year-old Marcos Ramirez was killed when the two cars crashed.
Currently, of the 9 people injured in the accident, 2 remain hospitalized in critical condition. Except for these two and Ramirez, who died unfortunately, all other victims were released with only minor injuries. So far, details remain ambiguous concerning the crash, particularly its cause.
Police confirmed that, at the scene of the car accident, both drivers were given tests for drunk driving. Police are now suspecting that both drivers were drunk, both contributing to the fatal accident that occurred that night. Test willreveal the Blood Alcohol Content of each individual, but authorities must also determine other aspects that could have been a factor – speed, recklessness, negligence. However, cases where both drivers are in excess of the legal BAC limit will usually bring charges on both, sometimes without even a consideration of fault.
