Reported at 11:35 p.m., the fire occurred in the 1100 block of West Whittier Boulevard and left the roof in shambles and both businesses gutted. It took roughly 50 firefighters to douse the blaze which was under control by 12:44 p.m. No one was injured in the fire but the cause is currently under investigation.
