A senior citizen walking his dogs through Rancho Bernardo was killed during an attempt to cross a local road. On Rancho Bernardo Road, which is generally a busy area, the man was hit by a vehicle that traveled eastbound past Matinal Road. Resulting from the impact that occurred, the man suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 79-year-old was accompanied by his two pet dogs in his attempt to cross the road. One of the dogs was killed alongside the senior citizen in the pedestrian accident.
