Pilot Gets Trapped In A Crashed Plane In Santa Monica

A pilot became trapped Sunday when the aircraft he was piloting crashed in Santa Monica. The plane crashed down on the runway of Santa Monica airport, trapping the pilot, who was freed but sustained injuries in the crash. According to reports from the FAA, the aircraft involved in the 2:45 pm was a small single engine plane known as a Long-EZ. The airplane attempted to land, but set down forcefully and ended off of the runway.
