Five Injured after Fountain Valley Bus Crash

An OCTA bus vs. car collision in Fountain Valley resulted in five injured at around 1:30 Monday afternoon at the corner of Harbor Boulevard and Heil Avenue. The victims included four passengers and an occupant of the BMW that was involved in the accident. The Orange County Transit Authority bus was headed north on Harbor when it collided with a silver BMW sedan that was pulling out onto Heil. It is not known how many passengers were on the bus but several were lead off the bus wearing neck braces and taken to the hospital. One of the car’s passengers also complained of neck and back pain and was taken to a local area hospital as well.
The front left quarter panel of the BMW was smashed in as was the rear of the vehicle, while the bus sustained no noticeable damage.
