Yacht Falls Into San Diego Bay
Jul 2nd, 2009 by RichmondJ
Coast Guard officials in San Diego are now investigating a boat accident that occurred around mid-day yesterday. The boat, specifically a yacht, was being transported to the 10th Avenue Marina Terminal when the accident occurred in the San Diego Bay. The yacht, which was being moved by a freight vessel, fell and then sank, authorities said.
The yacht remains underwater as well as under surveillance by the Coast Guard, who are making sure that diesel fuel from the boat does not leak into the San Diego Bay. According to Coast Guard Lieutenant Josh Nelson, the yacht will be put back into service during the upcoming week.
