Jul 6th, 2009 by RichmondJ
A significant amount of property damage was incurred at a home in Valencia park, where a family of five was unhurt but without a home after the fire. The bungalow-style residence located in the 5200 block of Groveland Drive was unoccupied when the fire erupted, according to San Diego Fire Department. Crews responding from the San Diego Fire Department took only 10 minutes to extinguish the fire, yet the flames still caused what seems to be substantial property damage, totaling at approximately $300,000. The American Red Cross will be assisting the family affected in this fire by providing a form of interim lodging, according to reports from San Diego Fire Department.
