San Pedro Home Consumed in Fire

A house on the 1300 Block of West 17th Street caught on fire at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday morning in San Pedro. The blaze was extremely intense and black plumes of smoke rose high into the morning sky as firefighters struggled to contain the flames. It took roughly thirty-six firefighters thirty minutes to finally dispel the fire.
No fire fighters or house occupants were hurt and damages have yet to be estimated. Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
