With the growing popularity of the eco friendly Pedicab, which are also known as bicycle rickshaws, people have come to believe that there are a safe mode of transportation as well as environmentally sound. That illusion may have been shattered after a retried school teacher from Illinois died from head injuries upon falling from a Pedicab in downtown San Diego. 60-year-old Sharon Miller was in San Diego over the 4th of July weekend to attend the National Education Association convention and decided to take a Pedicab (pedal cab) around the city. She fell out and hit her head on the street after the Pedicab she and another woman were sharing tipped over.
Sharon Miller’s family will undoubtedly have a ton of questions after this accident, such as, was the accident avoidable? Did driver error cause it or was it the unpaved streets? Could it have been a combination of both? The answers to these questions will greatly determine if the family has a wrongful death case. If so, they would need to seek the assistance of a qualified wrongful death attorney.
