Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver

A 32-year-old pedestrian named Jaime Munoz was killed after being hit by a pickup truck early this morning. Munoz was walking along Avenue 52 east of Tyler Street when the truck came out of no where and struck him. The vehicle in question was described by witnesses as a Chevrolet Silverado which was last seen heading northbound on Grapefruit Boulevard.
Jaime Munoz was declared dead at the scene at 12:57 a.m.
The saddest aspect of hit and run accidents is that the driver who takes someone’s life has little regard for their victims.
