Man is Knocked Out of His Sandals After Deadly Hit-and-Run

A deadly hit and run accident in Anaheim this morning resulted in a pedestrian fatality. A passing motorist called the accident in at around 3 a.m. reporting that there was a “man down” on Ball Road just east of Brookhust Street. The body was lying in the middle of the roadway near a condominium complex and businesses. The victim was declared dead at the scene.
Most striking about the case was that the individual had apparently been knocked out of his sandals and wristwatch by the force of the vehicular impact. Investigators, who are reviewing the surveillance video, are looking for leads and witnesses.
