Girl Dead After Dad’s Bicycle Is Struck By San Diego Trolley
Jul 30th, 2009 by RichmondJ
A 4-year-old girl died this morning while riding in a child seat attached to her father’s bicycle. Her and her gather were struck by a San Diego trolley as they traveled through Chula Vista. Apparently, the two approached the track while the gate lowered and the father attempted to evade it. Unsuccessful, the San Diego trolley crashed into the bike. Both were launched up to 40 feet upon impact of the San Diego trolley. According to police, the girl was properly fastened into her child seat but was without a helmet. Although the bicycle accident ended in an untimely death for the 4-year-old, her dad was fortunate to survive with internal injuries and a broken hip.
