Fatal Crashes and Drowning Emerge over the Holiday Weekend

The inland area saw several fatal car accidents and one drowning over the 4th of July weekend. Apparently, a three year old boy and his uncle drowned at a Fallbrook reservoir on Saturday, while a good Samaritan died on Friday trying to rescue a man who was began to struggle after jumping off a rented boat into the ocean, San Diego medical examiners reveal. Meanwhile, an alcohol fueled crash in Moreno Valley killed two and injured another after a Honda accord, traveling north on Gilman Springs Road, drifted into the southbound lane. The car hit a Dodge Ram pickup and several people were injured. The afternoon of the 4th would see another traffic fatality when 65-year-old Richard Massie of San Jacinto, was killed after a car struck his motorcycle in Hemet.
