Drowning Accident In San Diego County

A 3 year-old boy who was a suspected drowning victim has now been found to be dead, in a drowning accident that is said to have occurred while he was fishing. The boy, accompanied by his uncle at the time of the drowning accident, died alongside his uncle who attempted to save him. The boy fell into the San Diego county reservoir on Saturday, but the unfortunate fall ended in two deaths as his uncle followed in to save him. The uncle drowned in the San Diego county reservoir as well. According to Chief Nick Schuler of California Department of Fire and Forestry Protection, the young toddler, identified as Gabriel Ramos, was fishing with 26-year -old-uncle, Fernando Apetia, when the boy somehow ended up in the water. Ramos was located by worried families after the two did not return, while rescue divers found Apetia’s dead body underwater.
