35-year-old Man Is Victim In Trolley Accident
Jul 2nd, 2009 by RichmondJ
A local man was struck and killed by a trolley near Morena Station in San Diego. The middle-aged victim of the fatal Sunday night trolley accident appears to have been living homeless in San Diego, which is a likely factor in his decision to cross the trolley tracks. According to reports, a conductor saw what appeared to be a decapitated man following the trolley accident, which medical examiners predict to have occurred around 8:30 pm. Evidence shows that the man may have become trapped between the cars, which prevented the trolley’s safety mechanism, a bar that detects possible obstacles, from being tripped and alerting the trolley in time to prevent the man’s death
The man killed by the trolley has been described as a disheveled white male between 35 and 45 years of age. He has not yet been identified.
