3-year-old Dies After Being Pinned Under Fence In Whittier

In an incident that was declared a freak accident, a 3-year-old boy became victim to injuries that ended fatal. The young boy died at a children’s hospital on Friday. The fatal accident occurred at a residence on Fidel Avenue when a heavy wrought iron fence fell on the boy, causing the severe injuries that killed him. The 3-year-old was with his brother, aged 5, who played with him near the fence while their mother took a shower. The boy was pinned underneath the structure of the fence until officials arrived, requiring two men to move it from on top of him. He was unconscious before he was flown to the hospital.
