Street Racing May Have Caused Fatal SR 67 Accident

Authorities now conclude that a recent car accident on State Route 67 was the result of street racing, and the driver causing the accident will be charged with manslaughter after causing the wrongful death of another driver.
According to witnesses, Melvin Pearless, the driver, and another driver were racing northbound on SR 67 when the car accident occurred. Pearless crashed another vehicle, that of 25-year-old Alexandria Drake and her two-week-old daughter during the accident. The car accident lead to Drake’s death, but herdaughter was rescued without injuries. As a result of the death, Pearless can face up to six years in prison if convicted of manslaughter.
