Police Chase Results In Car Accident

California Highway Patrol reports a recent police chase as ending in a car accident, in a pursuit which began when a driver refused to yield to a patrol car. The police chase began on State Route 53, and ended in a car accident only moments after the pursuit ensued. Following the car accident, the driver attempted to flee the scene by foot, but was captured by the officer. During the car accident, the fleeing driver lost control of his vehicle, spinning out of control and crashing.
